High walls and gray dolomite cliffs that seem to guard and support the mountain, creating a wild and rugged landscape rich in oak trees and water, which flows across the rocks.

Legend has it that the Greek divinity Hephaestus had his forge in the Etna volcano and that he manufactured with the Cyclops powerful weapons for Zeus. However, only few people know that  he lived in Sigillo. In effect, The cleft among the rocks has been mentioned by the Italian-American writer Peter Colosimo and defined as "the anvil of the Cyclops" - right there Vulcan and Soci would have had one of their many forges (See Peter Colosimo in Odissea Stellare, Euroclub, ed. 3, Milano 1977, p. 109, 110).
