The Geopaleontological Research and Study Centre

Dr. Anzia Mercuri Brascugli (Villa Anita Park)

The exposition is held at the Villa Anita Park, in Sigillo (Pg).

In the left room on the first floor, you can admire finds from the Lower and Middle Jurassic mostly coming from the area of Monte Nerone. The Ammonites represent the most important diagnostic-time documents. The room on the right is dedicated to the Lower Jurassic fossil documentation of the Umbrian Apennine- in particular of Valdorbia, of the area of Monte Cucco and of Colle d'Orlando .The very heart of the exhibition is the paleoecological importance of the fossils and their use in modern paleogeographic reconstructions of the titisiana region.
